Mystic River Acupuncture strives to be a contributing member of our local community and we are involved in ongoing continuing education, both as students and as teachers.
Below is a schedule of events in which we participate, classes we take, and seminars or workshops we teach or organize. Please join us for any event we host.

April 27-29: Hudson, NY, Kathleen attends Advanced Cupping and Guasha Technique classes with Australian expert Bruce Bentley hosted by Andrea Elliott, L.Ac.
April 28: Earth Day Celebration at Dragon’s Egg in Ledyard. Jessica Boyden, LMT, will be doing chair massage.
April 24: Dreamers & Doers, Comcast 12, 8pm. Kathleen chronicles for hosts Julie Russell and Lisa Saunders how Mystic River Acupuncture evolved into a thriving business.
April 18: Spring Wind Workshop with Kathleen and Cassandra, 6:00-7:30pm at Mystic River Acupuncture. $10 advance registration.
April 17: Dreamers & Doers, Comcast 12, 8pm. Kathleen describes and demonstrated how Chinese herbs are used.
April 15: Eastern Connecticut State University Groton Medical Anthropology class held at Mystic River Acupuncture with Kathleen as instructor.
April 11: Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic. Kathleen is Guest Instructor for Professor Greene’s Medical Anthropology class. Topic: An Ancient Medicine for Modern Times. The class set up a mock disaster relief clinic.
March 22-24: Council of State Acupuncture Organizations meeting, Dallas TX (office closed March 22&23)
March 21: Kathleen leads the Groton Business Association’s monthly meeting at Fairview Odd Fellows Home.

November 14, 8pm: Kathleen is the featured guest Gracelyn Guyol‘s television series “Restoring Health Holistically” on Comcast Cable’s public access Channel 12. Read Gracelyn’s book Healing Depression and Bi-Polar Disorder Without Drugs.
October: Cassandra Cammarata completed the Herbal Education and Training program at Farmacy Herbs and received her certification in western herbology.
October 15: Kathleen leads Groton Business Association meeting at The Light House Voc-Ed Center

June 2-3: Kathleen is presenting a two-day seminar on Meridian Energetic Theory to the Acupuncture Association of Missouri, St. Louis MO.

The first edition of our Mystic River Acupuncture Mostly Monthly Newsletter reaches your inbox! The Mostly Monthly is filled with news, health tips, and special discounts. The newsletter will come out every month more or less (hence mostly monthly). We welcome suggestions for topics.

December: For the month of December Mystic River Acupuncture sponsors a children’s Socks and Underwear Drive to benefit the Riverfront Children’s Center on Thames Street.
